This morning I called to make an appointment with my doctor. The woman on the other end of the line was apologetic: she was working with a new system which had already gone live, though the data from the old system hadn’t yet been properly migrated. She was under orders to enter all appointments into the new system and the old system, and to write them down on paper, too.
